Support Our Initiative to Decriminalize Suicide in Africa!

Africa is facing with a rising suicide crisis, prompting one country to label it an epidemic. We are grateful that our homeland, Ghana, is now part of the countries decriminalizing suicide to save lives. Yet, Africa still bears the highest suicide rate globally, with 77% occurring in low-and-middle-income nations, says WHO. GUBA Foundation is honored to be a part of the collaborative endeavor between GUBA Diaspora Network and Lifeline International, a prominent civil society organization based in Australia. Lifeline International is dedicated to crisis and helpline services, focusing on suicide prevention and child protection in Africa.

Together, we aim to “Decriminalize Suicide Worldwide,” addressing legal barriers in suicide prevention efforts, especially among African youth and young men.

Let’s unite to protect our future generations.

Your support has the power to change lives !

The highly anticipated GUBA Awards 2023 will be held on 5th November 2023, at the luxurious JW Marriott Grosvenor House in Mayfair, London.

The Grow Unite Build Africa (GUBA) Nominee Launch reception was an incredible evening held at the House of Commons on 22nd September. We were inspired by stories from outstanding individuals and partners across the Diaspora and Africa. At the heart of the GUBA Foundation’s initiatives is the ‘Autism: I Am Not a Stigma’ awareness campaign, highlighted by our trustee, Yvonne Abba-Opoku. Join us in making a difference and learn more about our initiatives and impact at the GUBA Awards 2023.
